Availability of Financial Instrument Global Identifier (FIGI) in Bloomberg Barclays Series-L Index Feeds

Effective September 25, 2017, Financial Instrument Global Identifiers (FIGI) will be available for inclusion in certain bond-level feeds1 for Bloomberg Barclays Series-L Indices. Users may also choose to replace current fee-based identifiers with FIGIs.
The Financial Instrument Global Identifier (FIGI) is an established global specification issued by the Object Management Group (OMG.org, an international, non-profit standards organization). FIGI is issued and distributed by Bloomberg LP as a Certified Provider and Registration Authority. FIGI is a 12 character, alphanumeric, semantically meaningless ID which covers hundreds of millions of active and inactive financial instruments. FIGI identifiers are available free of charge with no restrictions on use or redistribution.
